Shamanic Workshops – An Introduction

My belief in the Shaman and the Shamanic path is unique, as with all my beliefs, and ancient in origin, coming to write this part of the site I have struggled with both the title and what to put in it.

So, for clarification, I do not call myself a Shaman and whilst I hold the space that can create a Shamanic workshop, I still sometimes feel uneasy about it.  My belief is that the title of Shaman is one that must be passed from one Shaman elder to another and only after various rites of passage and journeying through the upper and lower realms, at a bare minimum.

I do however work with Shamanic energies, be they ancestral, spirit animals or opening the awareness to the other realms.

So now that I have shared, let’s move on to everything that comes under this beautiful body of work.

The Shamanic Drum and its Birthing Process

A few years ago, a message was given, and a question asked –

Friend – Olaf have you ever thought about doing drum birthing workshops? you’d be great at it.

Me – Seriously! I think I have enough instruments in my collection.

Then later that year I found myself on a workshop teaching me to work with these energies, and although I had my own drum, it was only through the process of working deeply with the spirit of the animal that I came to understand the true power of the Shamanic Drum.

So, if you would like to birth your own drum, hold space for a group to birth their own drums then I would be honoured to facilitate and create the energies needed.  Workshops can be one or two days depending on the needs of the group.  Below is an outline of what can be expected during a one day workshop.
